More About Me

I have had the pleasure of working with a variety of professors and students in Elementary Schools, High Schools, and Universities as a Teaching Assistant.

From my Experience, I have Firsthand Knowledge on:

  • What examiners look for in answers when grading;

  • What sort of questions trend from one semester to the next; and

  • How each student interprets the topic a little differently, therefore, adapting my teaching technique to better assist them.

No matter the specific needs of the student, I customize my curriculum and teaching style. I specialize in tutoring students with special learning disabilities, such as ADHD, Dyslexia, and Dysgraphia.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

My son, Roan, has worked with GG for about 6 months. He is in grade 9 and has Autism. Roan is a very smart boy, but loses focus in class. We hired GG for tutoring in Math, to keep him caught up. Straight away, I was impressed with GG's calm and gentle nature. Being a teacher myself, I understand that a student must trust his teacher if learning is to take place. I was so pleased to see that Roan took to GG straight away and looked forward to meeting with him after school. GG has an incredible way of showing students how to understand Math. He leaves every session feeling confident and proud of his accomplishments. I cannot recommend GG enough, if you are looking for a tutor. We are so grateful for all he has done for Roan.

My Teaching Assistant Experience Includes:

  • Tutoring University Students in Math, Physics, and Chemistry from: Okanagan College, UBC-O, VIU, BCIT, TRU, and Camosun College.

    • This also includes tutoring students who are upgrading their nursing or technical programmes.

  • Tutoring Elementary and High School students in Early Literacy and all levels of Math and Chemistry from: Springwood Elementary, McGirr Elementary, Ballenas Secondary, Nanaimo District Secondary School, Wellington Secondary Nanaimo, and Aspengrove School.
